Porsche Cayman--zzzzzzzzz....
Verdict: Adding a roof to a Boxster won't stop people throwing rotten tomatoes at you. It only means that the rotten tomatoes won't hit you.
What is this German stupidity? Removing the engine from the classic VW and adding a Straight-6.... Some say that it did not have limited slip differentials because if....there were... *Clears Throat*... it would be faster than the 911. By spoiling the 911 business, the company will fall and be bust in no time.
However, the Cayman is a VERY exotic and special, at least, better than some Ferraris. Why? Porsche had DNA and the soul in them... Ferrari? No, the best one so far is the Enzo. The 599 GTO limited? No. Their idea of cars-Sports cars, is to make a BIG profit. Compare the 360 Modena and the 430, you will find out that Ferrari is getting more and more cheapskate every year. The price? No change. Customers? A lot. Still a lot. How stupid is that?
Yup, that's what I meant. Porsche have retained their quality and DNA. It symbolizes Europe's mass murderer and the old Beetle...VWs.... Simply nostalgic. The car is unbelievably quick and responsive. It is sooooo much better than the Evora, let alone the Boxster. Starting off, it has a F-6 engine, producing around 320 bhp and it is a mid-engined sports car, meaning that it has a balanced weight distribution and the perfect layout for a "Super-Sports Car"
It does nought-to-sixty in a mere 4.6 secs and a top speed of 170 mph. Its rivals are: BMW Z4 M, Lotus Evora and the Audi TTrs. Though slower than the Z4 M, it is more attractive and has a brilliant design.
On the other hand, it is TOO impractical. Yes, even for a sports car. The seats are more like a pile of rocks. The suspension and chassis? No..... Take it for a spin down the town? Yes, a good car for it. Show off to your mates? Yes, a good car for it. Take a 700km grand tour through France, Germany and Norway? NO! It will kill your back. Trust me. Don't spend more money on medical fees than on the car tself.
